    I installed one soon after buying my truck. It's pretty stout and secure once installed. It will hold at least one 1911 and ammo/clips no problem. The main problem will be how you secure the gun so it doesn't rattle around and position it for easy draw. Luckily, they package the unit with very think foam, which I used to carve a fitted bottom to hold a revolver and a midframe pistol. I highly recommend it since the new Taco's do not have any locking compartments.
