What are your thoughts on the different makers of console vaults? Does anyone have one for sale?

I have console vault by console vault. It does what I need it to do. I do recommend the combination lock over the keyed lock. Key has to remain in lock when unlocked. I have had it for about 4 years.

I was gifted a tuffy box and would spend the money for it knowing what I know now. Somewhat of a pita to install, but the cost is less. Yes I'm aware that console vault is a box

It will stop a smash and grab.

I have the Lockr down version which looks just like the the Console vault. I have the 4 digit combo lock and for everyday use, I just spin 1 dial.

I love my console vault with the combo lock. Although a little difficult to see numbers at night, i leave it unlocked when driving in case i need immediate access to my 9mm.20180807_224309.jpg Holds my gun, wallet etc.. nicely.

They utilize every square inch of space available. What do you want to put in there? A full case of beer? A shovel and a bag of lime? 10 kilos of coke? $1,000,000 in nonsequential 20 dollar bills? A Mexican sombrero? It's made for a hand gun and some sammichs.

If you can do better, let's see what you can build.

I use a pistol safe that is attached to the seat with a cable. Cheap and works well, also leaves the console free for misc stuff that I don’t need to lock up.

Same here. A console vault would be nice, but for around $20 this does the trick. Also, I store a ton of stuff in the console.

I wanted a safe for whenever I am carrying and head to a "safe zone" I didn't want to waste money on a console vault and lose the space in the center console. I just needed a lockable solution to hold a loaded firearm and a spare mag. Came up with this:

Inexpensive, does what I need to do and I didn't lose space in the center console.

Depends on what you are willing to spend and what you need it for.

The console vault is definitely high quality and beefy. It'll be easier to steal the whole truck than breaking into the vault. It's 12 gauge plate steel and enough room to hold my valuables. The interior dimensions are roughly 8.5"Lx6.5"Wx6.25"H. Tried my 1911 but doesn't quite lie flat.20180716_160954.jpg

Can anyone tell me if a console organizer will fit over the any of the vaults and still have the console close?

Can't but somebody could. It's not an ideal use of the available space.
