This is not a smokin’ deal, but it’s an OK deal. The 4 digit combo is definitely the way to go. For everyday use, I just roll 1 wheel. If I’m leaving it in an iffy location, I roll all the wheels.

Way2go making me feel inadequate w my 3-digit combo.

BUTTT... not sure if the shithead smashing my window will have the mental propensity (or time) to try a thousand different combinations and keep track lol.

 

Also, just an off topic rant. I really wish they made these vaults fit a bit better. Tons of extra room in the center console that these vaults dont take advantage of

 

Somebody else mentioned this in another thread. I have the Lock’er Down version and it seems to fill up the whole area very well, with the exception of height. There’s a little bit of extra room on top, but not a lot. Where do you feel your Console Vault could be bigger? They look the same, but maybe they’re not.

 

I like my 3 digit console vault and also just spin one digit for quick access. I find the interior space adequate since the only thing that's ever in there is my gun and occasionally wallet. All other items goes in the junk drawer glove box.

 

Mainly on both sides of it. It fills the length pretty well but doesnt extend to the sides completely

 

I measured my Lock'er Down. It's 5" wide at the narrow part and 6 1/2" wide at the widest part. The left side is up against the little notch for the latch. The right side looks like it could maybe be 3/8" wider at the wide part, but that's not going to gain a significant amount of storage. How does that compare with yours?

 

Probably pretty similar. I looked at the locker down one and it's pretty much identical

 

I've got a keyed version of a Console Vault I removed from my 2015 when I traded it in. $100 plus shipping.
