I want to direct wire my xm radio in my taco. I have a power adapter made for this from my xm radio manufacturer. Of course the directions are generic for any vehichle. I nee a 12v power souce to splice into to run to the radio. the power cord is 8 ft long so I have plenty of room. anyone have any suggestions where to conect this?

I bought a cigarette lighter from a parts store. I put a "add a circuit" tap into an existing fuse behind the change drawer (LH side in front of the fuse panel). Hooked it up and tucked it up under the wire bundle. My XM power cord was run under the dash, plugged it in. Looks clean and like a pro did it.
