Just got the latest issue of consumer reports and boy do they beat down on the Tacomas. I guess I am one of the lucky ones that has had no issues so far and enjoy everything about the truck! According to them I should have bought a Ridgeline or Colorado!!

Old news. Tacoma is not the shiny diamond of the segment anymore, despite this forum.

Apparently Toyota is buying into their bull crap because they just did away with the one platform in the Tacoma that I really liked and wanted (SR manual 4x4). Apparently the soccer moms and drug store cowboys sent letters to CR and threatened to riot over such a plain Jane truck being sold. Simple customers like me are being forgotten about. Some of us just want to row gears in a plane Ass 4x4 but apparently that's too much to ask anymore.

Ridgeline is the best in the segment if you keep it on pavement and don't mind the ugly ass front end.

From my understanding, they never really liked the Tacoma. They pretty much like docile, quiet, couches on wheels.

And getting confused with Honda Pilots until they see the bed. Happens all of the time when they are heading towards me.

Pretty much, the ten people that wanted a SR with a manual bought them. Let's hope that in 2019 they get rid the SR and that weak 2.7 engine all together

Guys, I found the all knowing automotive god mechanic on Instagram and he's saying that Toyota engines don't last very long. He drives a dodge so he must be right

Ironically I see more SR's on the road around here than any other 3rd gen. Sports are a close second. My dealer sold every SR manual they had. I should have jumped on a 2017 but I'm only on year 5 1/2 of my truck and don't feel like starting over. My mistake was thinking the base with manual and 4x4 would always be around for when I was ready. I wish TSS was an option instead of standard too, I hate all that safety stuff.

Lmao, seems anymore everyone hates a winner !! Or maybe Toyota finally pulled the plug on funding them. Hell I think the only people that love our 3gen are we the owners !!
Oh and dozens of people that stop to admire mine when I park in public :).
