Old Rangers are still cruising the streets because they're all equipped with Mazda engines. I went to several Mickey Thompson races back in the 80's where Mazda trucks consistently pounded Toyota's into the dirt. I bet if Mazda made a truck today they'd continue where they left off.

I don't think it is available for the 2.7...

If I could lock it in a gear and drive it like a manual trans truck on the highway it would be amazing.

I don't even read magazines in the waiting room but you actually purposely bought a "consumer report"? lol.

Hilarious. Not even trying to sound young here or whatever generation stares at their phones all day, but dayum man... it's been years since a magazine has been worth it.

I think the only Rangers that had a Mazda Engine were the Diesels.

lol. Don't use my phone on the shitter. But, I knew a guy when I lived in the barracks years ago that had this weird tick about taking his top off (top part of uniform) before shitting and leaving it outside the bathroom... because "poo particles are in the air".

Do you wipe magazines off? lmfao. I could go on here... about disinfecting everything you touch like it was march 2020...

I have a magazine hand and a wiping hand.

I’m just fucking around…but you know all the people who’ve replaced consumer reports and every other magazine with their phone have done so in the bathroom in most cases…

lol yep. I remember when I made the switch from magazines to all the apps on a tablet. Back when I was into apple stuff (was like 2008-2012 max) and I used to have reading material in the bathroom. Never put the tablet in there though. Didn't trust the room mate that much. Not even sure if they still do that. Like Maxim had an app, mens health... that kinda stuff.

I hope OP doesn't think I'm serious here either... I still read magazines in waiting rooms ;) I hate being that guy staring at his phone like it's something important when it's really just Angry Birds.

ARE topper. Mud guards, factory steps, third bed rail behind cab, tacorail accessory holder, ram mount tablet mount, hood wrap and retro stripes. Bug shield and window shields. Molle seat cover on tear seat.
I just learned the nuances of the truck like everything else for the last 40 plus years of driving. In the hills of KY I put it in S5 and she does fine. On flat interstates D is OK. Pulling my boat or for a little more weight in the bed, ECT switch activated.

70s and 80s towing or performance you shifted out of the OD setting. My 97 Chevy same thing in the hills. I actually find it fun figuring it out on these new ones, trying to get around a computer somewhat.

Predator steps, TRD cat-back, lots of orange stickers.
I used to take them seriously. The last time I picked up their magazine was in like 2014, and they gave the BMW 3-Series of the time perfect score in every category. Remember that. I've heard those things have engine issues and the rest of the crap that comes with the territory of owning an aging European car.

Anyway, I digress. Those ratings are based on user complaints, for what it's worth.

Mazda makes a helluva a car (and crossover). My son took over our 2015 Mazda6 and I'm going to get another one when finances allow as my primary commuter. Just loved driving that car.
