When searching the web regarding the use of after market sensors on Toyota engines most responders strongly recommend using OEM sensors. Like for like regarding what you take out is what you should put back in and avoid after market sensors like the plague.
If after market sensors were used... what would be the symptoms if they weren't compatible for
the vehicle. In other words- why not use them and if something is screwy with them how can you tell.
As I said in my first post: my Tacoma ran perfect prior to the sensor replacement and now I get intermittent engine misfire where it acts as if running on 4 instead of 6 cylinders that goes away and then returns. It just does not run like it used to even if there's no misfire.
Would anyone recommend starting with replacing the new aftermarket sensors with new ODM and going from there?

Id say some of the symptoms you are experiencing...rough idle, decrease gas mileage, lower power...Does it throw a CEL? or Codes? could be a dirty fuel injector, dirty MAF...

Also for me its like buying spark plugs, you dont go putting motorcraft sparkplug in a vehicle designed for NGK's or whatever came stock. I know somethings are to save on $$ but to me the vehicle was designed with a certain brand part, Id replace with the same part and manufacturer...especially electronics, Quality does make a difference IMO.
