Hey Jon...wouldn't argue at all about the 4Runner. They are a bit more plush inside. If I could have written one off the same as a truck I would have gotten one. As to the noise, the exhaust is the big thing! I got a lot of static for swapping out my TRD Exhaust, but for me it was simply annoying (especially after I added the shell). But for me, swapping to stock exhaust is the best mod I've done to this truck! The other mod you could do is to swap to some nice P rated tires. If most of your OR is actually snow driving and such the P rated ones work fine. I went from C rated BFG AT's to P rated BFG Rugged Terrain's on my 1st gen Tundra and the difference was huge. Much softer / less harsh ride (some say mushy) and virtually no tire road noise. They also worked better in the snow than the old style AT's did. So for not much money you can address many of the issues. I sold my TRD Exhaust (less the chrome tip) for $250 and bought a 2015 stock set up for $100. If you sell your AT's you would be out a few hundred for different tires. The only expensive part would be the shell. I've got about 3500 in mine with the bed rug etc. Either way, you can't go wrong with the TRD Pro 4Runner either. They come with stock exhaust and P rated tires. Good luck!

Boy that was quick! Guess I should have read all the posts, but with the first one being yesterday..... Congrats on the new ride! I really like the 4Runner Pros! Not a fan of all black wheels, but other than that, they are awesome. Keep us posted on what you do with her...don't be a stranger (did you sell the Taco?).

Hot damn! That is one sweet ride. Are the 4runner TRD Pro's hard to find? I was contemplating getting one, and the local dealer told me they were practically impossible to get a hold of. Can you negotiate discounts on these like you can with the more common models? I was figuring I'd have to pay at least $45k out the door.

You can get them for MSRP. This one was actually a 2015 that someone traded. It was meant to be I guess. It has 6700 miles on it. I actually got a decent deal and trade value on my truck. My truck is now for sale with everything still on it, so if anyone is interested let me know, and I can put you in touch with my dealer.

So far, it is great. Very nice ride.

RKCRUZA, yes, it all happened fast.

When I brought my tacoma in for a warranty issue at the dealership they gave me a 4runner with around 5,000 miles on it to drive in the interim. Granted, it was not the TRD Pro version of it, but my girlfriend and I had sooooo much fun in that truck for the 2 days they had mine. Brought it to the beach, tested out the suspension  and even loaded up the back with groceries and equipment! No, I didn't feel guilty doing this with a loaner car because I would of otherwise been using my own truck for these purposes. She actually wants to buy one now, but the latest generation are a lot more expensive than a taco. Most likely she will will wait to get a pre-owned 14/15 in a year or two.. This might sound odd but one of my favorites features of the truck is the functionality to drop the entire rear windshield glass into the tailgate!
