Bolt specs are derived from the thread diameter (10mm) and length under the head (50mm and 70mm in your case), and the pitch (1.25mm), not the drive size (14mm). The bolts could be the same as bed stiffeners if you are comparing drive sizes, but not a great habit to use for comparison ... it'll eventually burn you.

So, a proper nut for these would be M10 1.25 grade 8? Sorry, just trying to understand how these are spec'd, I'm guessing off thread diameter based on your reply.

BTW, these are awesome, did the shorter set on driver side and taller on passenger side, looks very nice.

    Thanks!

Here ya go, these are the exact bolts I sent for the 1". 1.5" bolts are the same but about 20 mm longer. Grade is 10.9 as it reads on the head.

Also, what @tonered means is that you needs threads in this circled area all the way up to the head ... if you are going to mount something with limited thickness. The thread will likely "bottom out" before it draws anything tight otherwise.

Yes, that's how I read it as well, thanks for confirming. My plan was to recycle the OEM bolts I'm no longer using or use the ones which came with my rear seat molle panels which I can't use with the risers. Since they are beefy.

Finding M10 1.25 thread flange nuts is a little tricky it seems. I think this would do it though.

    Or I could order a 50 pack of non-stainless:

Either would work, but flange nut isn't important. I just grabbed them to be as close to OEM as possible for this mod. Small details like that give the warm and fuzzies.

Personally, I'd take a bolt to Ace Hardware and go through the bins, you may walk out only spending a dollar. But, of course, if anything like me you will also leave with another pack of allen keys that you really didn't need, completely negating all savings.

I like warm fuzzy nuts as well.

The local Ace went out of business, sadly, and our local Home Depot is one of the busiest in the country so they are a particularly poor spot for speciality / metric / stainless fasteners. eBay isn’t the worst option.

50 for about $10 is killer. I'd go that route.

Seat bolts at the autoparts store were $4 for three or four. Ace was $3 each. I love their selection and can understand their pricing, but that can be tough to swallow at times.

Yeah, those might be a little more, but for a nut and washer it should be pennies. Especially if they don't have to be high strength? Some stuff is absurd though, yeah.

Guessing mine were the same as yours. First I've heard that anyone had washers from the factory.

They don't seem to have a flanged nut online, but I think we could get an idea from these:
    upload_2020-11-5_7-29-25.jpg

McMaster isn't the cheapest at times, but their delivery times are near Amazon like. I've heard that they have a storefront near me. I need to stop in.

We also have Fastenal and TacomaScrew. So, finding something is never too hard.

    TacomaScrew always makes me laugh.

The only issue with a non serrated nut is loosening over time right? Which is what lock washers are for? For a bed stiffener this aspect is probably more important than usual, particularly because the mini stiffy is a one holer. I think I would prefer larger surface area hence the flange as ideal.

Hence I’m thinking serrated flange m10 1.25 FTW and stainless a bonus. Price is a little ridiculous at $5 each but I dunno, f it?

Ahhh! Now your getting into the weeds, where I live at times.

There is a lot of good info out there on mechanical thread locking. AvE has done some fun testing also. I like the nordlock washers, but have not used them yet. It is a cool design.

A larger flanged base is a lower clamping pressure. Also, fine thread is stronger than coarse thread. Fun stuff!

The sereations do help, but for this application, I'd say nylock nut and washer. Plus some sealant on the back side to protect the stanchion.

I've made up a bunch of V1's , OP has been updated with the details.

I have them up on Etsy as well, but MUCH cheaper to grab them here.
