This rack wouldn't work the way that you describe. It needs to connect to both sides of the bed to support itself.

This is good news - this is what I been wanting for awhile and I assume it will support a rack mounted tent?

I don’t want to step on KB Voodoo’s toes as it’s his product. I have built all sorts of machinery and automation equipment using these aluminum extrusions. They are incredibly strong and light with more emphasis on strong. image.jpg

This is a sample I had left over in my garage. From his drawings they are using the double wide extrusion so even stronger. Add t-nuts or plates into the grooves and they work very similar to our bed rails in being adjustable for position. I really can’t stress how strong this stuff is. RTT’s will be no issue as will just about any type of load.

Holy crap I just had an idea!!

How about an option for dual levels of crossbars??

And here it is with the top bars from our Premium rack on the lower level. This could be used for mounting Plano boxes and other things.

Starting around the $700 mark, based on the preliminary numbers that we've put together.

It's going to have a few options as well:
    - Extra levels
    - Top bars that run the length of the truck
    - Selectable maximum height (from 18" to 28", in 2" increments)
    - Black coated extrusions

Every model of every truck. It is universal with adjustable width and a couple different mounting attachment options.

Can you post some pictures with the prototype mounted on the truck? Very interested in how it looks.

Oh man. I already bought the premium bed rack. Let me see if anybody is willing to take it off my hands so I can get the new one that kb voodoo is making.
