Hello guys im new here so pls keep the mean comments to yourself. I have a 2005 Tacoma Prerunner that i want to lower(dont ask why a prerunner) but what i here from alot of people is that the rear is pretty easy but the front is a whole different story. My question is why is it difficult to do the front end are the control arms and the springs different compared to the 5 lug Tacos?

The suspension is different so I would imagine. I know the springs/shock assembly is different for sure

Welcome, I’m running the sos 2”/3.5” drop linked above on my 4wd. I’m very happy with it, very easy install as well

Check out the Street Truck section too

There’s a specific thread for the 05-15 6 lug drop kit as well.

Good luck with the research! I’ve been thinking about going this route too, after tinkering around with my suspension I believe I’d prefer it to be lowered.
