I learned a long time ago to always leave room between you and the person in front of you to pull around them. I still do!

If you're talking about on the bike I deliberately come to a stop at lights where I can easily scoot between cars if I need to. Would all be a ton easier if they just legalized filtering in Ohio

No on a bike, I have options. In a vehicle was what I was referring to.

The important fact is that during normal driving, your rotors will not get hot enough to cause uneven material transfer from the pads, so while that can happen with extremely hot brakes, unless you just had a really long descent or you're pulling a heavy trailer, it's not going to happen. Knowing that, all of the other concerns become the more important ones (being rear ended, transmission wear).

All that said, it's really not that big of a deal for the most part on what you want to do.

I'm sure you've seen plenty of people about to plow into you. I doubt you would move out of the way real quick, however.

    Dude...wtf.

I get the whole get off the brakes once stopped thing...I've done it at the bottom of a mountain where I got the brakes heated up but pulsated braking all the time? No fuckin way. That's even worse than the people who race in the red light grand prix (your wife).
