I've looked up a bunch of stuff on both conversions for 4x4 and switching to a manuel transmission. Im just not sure if I need to switch wiring and the ecu for the transmission? Or just plug and play? I have a 2011 double cab 2.7 prerunner and Im taking the transfer case from a fj and taking the transmission and the other parts I need from a 2011 2.7 regular cab. I know Ill need to get my driveline modified. Any help or any good links would be appreciated thanks!

I got the prerunner for cheap with low miles and the parts truck for cheap. Much cheaper than buying a 4x4 tacoma

If you do the work yourself, you'll just about break even. If you have to pay someone to do even part of the work you'll spend more on the conversion.
