I've got two hella 500s behind my Raptor grill on my second gen. I've converted them to hid, and man are these suckers bright!
The only complaint is that they are definitely spots. 100 feet out they are still about 5ft diameter.
I'd like to disperse the light a little more and turn them into more of a flood. Does anyone know of some sort of sticker or lense cover I can put on here to do so?

What size lights are they? Do they get really hot?

They're the 5" hellas. They get pretty warm, but nothing ridiculous. I have the 35 watt bulbs, so they aren't TOO hot.

From what i can tell, with the hella 500s you might be stuck. I would look for genaric plexi covers for them and see if you can find one with a flood pattern, or see if you can find a cheap flood lens about that size and rig up a mounting for them. Or find clear covers and scuff them up untill the light is difused, but this will lose alot of light. Might just have to trade them out for floods.

Second thought, go buy a florecent light cover from the hardware store and cut new covers out of it. They should have several styles that are difused differently, and they should be cheap.
