I like it but at the same time, not a huge fan. The uniqueness is what I like but the color... ehh

    Very cool!!
Atleast the thing was custom done by Toyota and not some backyard hack job.

I really like the color. I'd buy that color.

I like the idea of the it. Wonder what it looks like with a top though. Is it just me or does some of the body panels look like the paint is mismatched. The xtra cab panel looks darker than the bed and door.

Thanks for the good replies. Whatever for the bad ones. This is my Tacoma. I can tell you that it came directly from Toyota California's Concept Division. Since I work for corportate Toyota that's how I was able to obtain the Truck. Thanks.

between a normal tacoma in the same condition and that orange thing, I'll take a normal one any day..

best part about that truck is how new it looks.

not sure about the mixed parts of the old interior with the newer exterior components... pre-01 interior + 01-04 exterior....

I don't really care much for the truck itself, but it is cool that the thing is from 2001 and still looks like it came off the showroom floor.

+1 - hate the color, not too fond of the wheels and the sub/rear speaker sett up is ghetto but...

I didn't think I'd like it but it looks pretty sweet and would be lots of fun to take wheeling and camping. Of course this truck will only be driven on freshly paved (not too fresh though) dry roads.

Also, am I missing something... but wtf is the gas tank?

Again, thanks for the comments on the truck. Being that I work for Toyota I have the vehicle inquiry on the truck. It has never been titled or registered until I bought it. It's been in Toyota's name for 10 years 3 months. It's kind of hard to see it in the vid but it has just under 800 miles on it. I'll be putting up some high quality pictures soon.

I was just trying to work my way through the 20 hours of Top Gear saved on my DVR and I began to think why I'd never seen a convertible truck and I started mentally designing one. Less than 4 hours later, I find this.

I'd really like to know how much was paid for this truck. It seems to be very well done aside from the older interior but I actually like the paint and wheels. Just cause it can go offroad, doesn't mean it has to. Don't pretend there aren't plenty of mall crawlers on here

Good work man on the exhaust kit and suspension set up. Looks mint (and well, it is).

Once you get some more money to spare, I recommend a different stereo set up (looks kinda cheap now IMHO) and maybe modernizing that interior with some leather and newer style door panels if you really want to get into it.

Now I just want to see a convertible pickup with an auto folding roof
