Hi guys just checking if any of you use a wide angle convex rear view mirror on your tacos. If you are just curious if y'all have any pros and cons, recommended brands, thanks in advance.

I don't have one in my Tacoma, but I did have one in my old Mustang when I would race it. It really helped out and I found that I didn't have to rely on my side mirrors too often as it covered a good portion of my blind spots. Keep in mind that these are not that great at night as they reflect more lights through the cabin. This was my experience at least.

I cannot remember the brand that I used in my Mustang, but it was similar to the one you listed where it would strap over the factory mirror.

Thanks for that info, Broadway makes one that has a blue tint they say to cut down on glare from headlights behind you so I can check one of those out if I decide to get one. But overall you liked using one when you did?

Yeah definitely. It's one of those things that you don't realize you need until you actually use it.

I've got Broadway wide angle rearview mirrors on all of my vehicles. Love them.

Freaks people out when they get in the car though. LOL!

They take some getting used to but once you do, they're awesome. I have a convex mirror and the EZ view mirrors from Trail Toys= no blind spots. @SMKYTXN really should tap into the 3rd gen market for these (not sure if he already has).
The one thing that I'd say is a "con" to convex mirrors in general is that finer details get lost as the overall image in the reflection is a bit smaller to your eye. This usually isn't an issue for most, but if you care about reading license plates from cars around you, it makes it extremely difficult at farther distances.

BTW, check your local autoparts store (AutoZone, PepeBoys, etc.). I think I got mine (a clip-on Broadway version) for something like $15 in store. Some even come with a blue tint that help with night glare since you would lose the dimming feature by switching to these.

Yeah I saw those EZ view mirrors online last night, might get those also, just bought a cheaper one at Walmart cuz I'm impatient to order one on Amazon or eBay. Once that one comes in I'll throw this one my mom's care.
