Convince me I should not start with a rear winch.

    People do it all the time, it's just not a common set up. Go for it. It will take some planing. You have to run power to the rear with some thick ass gauge wiring. So be prepared for that. If you keep it in a cradle you 'll be able to install it in the front or the rear as long as you get a hitch mount for the front and power set up in the front as well.

    Tacomacoma on IG is part of our group, he has a winch in the front and a 2nd winch in the rear. His is a custom set up for the rear welded into the frame, but it works and gives different options for recovery.
