Why don't you get all new fill and drain plugs, with crush washers and be on the safe side...

I am getting all new crush washers. No need for new drain/fill plugs unless I run into problems, though.

I got mine when they had a sale. Valvoline is $10/qt and Mobile1 is $11/qt currently (no sale) at the major brand stores.

I use Mobil 1 only. I have taken engines apart that had conventional motor oil all their life. You chisel the carbon off the oil valley.

It wouldn't surprise me. For comparison, have you ever taken a Mobile1 engine apart?

On an unrelated note, I changed everything today...after a couple trips to the stealership because they gave me the wrong washers...which I noticed after I had drained my tranny and T-case...

Anyway, I also greased all my slips and U-joints. It certainly shifts smooth and there aren't any noises coming from the drivetrain, but I can't say that it's a definitive improvement over my pre-fluid change driving experience. I'd say the gears are "marginally" less notchy to get into. But then again, I didn't use the miracle MT-90 either. So, I guess I'd probably use synthetic again if I can get it cheap, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
