Warlocks are nice. I bet you could get one for less than the gladiator. Those things have crazy incentives all the time and dealers probably give big discounts on top too.

Honestly, we have a JLUR and in my opinion it tows better/drives better than my Tacoma did. It's more comfortable for me, and if I didn't want a full size pickup I'd look hard at a gladiator. You can get the "max tow" on a Sport which gives you Dana 44's front and rear (wide track) with 4.10 gearing allowing for the highest tow rating of the gladiators. I'd go for it.

Every time you hit a bump in the road, you will ask yourself "is today the day that I will get the infamous death wobble?".
If the answer is yes, there is a decent chance that you will not be able to find the cause of the wobble and the dealer will install a steering damper which is only a temporary band-aid. The wobble will most likely come back very quickly and you will no longer feel safe on the freeway. Eventually, you will throw in the towel and trade in the Gladiator for a Tacoma and make a post on Tacoma World about it.

@everyone screaming about death wobble, I've had every generation of Jeep minus the JK and 9/10 times steering issues are caused by our dumbasses messing with steering geometry/cheap lifts and adding monster tires.

The only issue I had with our (factory/stock) JLUR was there was too much play in the steering gear box which was swapped out/solved the problem. I don't ask myself "when will my front end wobble"... I typically find myself saying, "wow that was a lot smoother than my truck." Tacomas are a light duty truck that still manages to ride like a skateboard.

I think they look pretty goofy and out of proportion from certain angles. Plus Jeeps are just so cliche these days. Just this AM some moron in a bright green jeep with green LED ditch lights (and thousands more in mall-gear) blinded me from across an intersection. so many are just clueless "look-at-me" types.
