First we were talking about a hideous 6” lift that would utterly destroy the ride-ability of the truck, then the dude said something about how his son dropped out because of a “party atmosphere” (can easily be avoided in college) and then bragging about wealth????

I dont know what is more interesting, trying to convince Hawaiian's not to put on a Hawaiin lift, or that the litmus test of a good kid is they dont do drugs or got pregnant.

Not sure if you should appreciate the fact of getting one of your trucks repo'd and the other torn up, your son being homeless or not knowing whether he is homeless or not, having to sell your house in beautiful Hawaii and moving to Vegas (which is not an upgrade), essentially abandoning your daughter at the age of 17 while still in high school (which I don't think is even legal), dumping her on a friend's parents, ditching your kids and getting electric vehicles to "get on with your lives"
I would imagine your kids are 17 and 18/19? It's not as if they are 37 & 38? Or 27 & 28? Probably the vast majority of kids make mistakes or irresponsible decisions with their 1st vehicles. Some of my daughters friends totalled multiple vehicles before the age of 18. Now, not new vehicles but still nicer ones than I had at the time.

Call me crazy but it seems your life has been turned upside down as well as your finances. Not sure if things have turned out "great"
Owning a home in one of the most beautiful places on Earth is no easy task and something to be proud of. Acquiring one if Vegas doesn't work out will probably seem impossible.

Ok you get the Monday "Award". Thought when I said wife and I were buying electric vehicles and I was moving "up" to "Rivianworld" someone would catch on right away. BTW, Las Vegas know as "Third Island" due to the number of Hawaii transplants there due to the extreme cost of living in Hawaii. Many cannot live in HI on a fixed income. Anyways, moving on. Son and daughter are fine, even with my poor parenting skills. Son has had fun with his Tacoma and has not had time to think about a lift as he is either working or having fun. Like I had said before, he put $10k down and is paying the loan himself, and could pay the loan off now if he wanted. If he does a lift, probably be the OME 2 inch (or some say it is 3 inch) and he and I will do it ourselves, and be able to return the truck to original if he ever wants to. The OME seems to not have any negatives and interesting I think I saw the 2024 Tacoma OR is using OME suspension parts. Chime in on opinions of the OME lift kit please.

Kids are exposed to a whole mess of shit these days that our parents and their parents before them never had to be worried about.
Yeah I know it's always been this way but never to the extent it is these days.

Eh Thanks. Talk about what kids are exposed to, last week they used my daughters gym/parking lot at her public high school for a SWAT staging area (while school was in session) as a man had taken a hostage at gun point near by the school. The man later was shot (self inflicted), and hostage ok. The kids were texting and watching the news during school concerning the entire ordeal including the death of a person. Way too much violence today. As far as lifted Tacomas, I was at Walmart yesterday and, no lie, saw a new model Tacoma that was lifted what looked like 3 feet, crazy. I was going to ask if I could take a pic and post here, but the guy was too far away and left the lot.
