i was going to say valve also. if its cable operated those should be looked at as well.

i know they caused an issue in my car since they werent seated correctly.

Crushed! Not much left on the junkyard Supra. The heater valve was still on the firewall if it turns out you need one.

Well got my wheels mounted up last night and installed them.

Hard to tell that they are bronze since they need a lot of lot to really pop, I'll get some more pics this weekend at the Supra meet.

Also I'm barely rubbing the plastic front fender wells when I'm turning/going over bumps. That should self clear over the course of a few weeks as it's minimal. However I'm also rubbing something in the rear minimally on bumps but I've only driven it twice so I'll keep looking. Overall super happy with it just need to fix that rear rubbing and it'll be 100%! Hope to get some good pics at the meet on Saturday :burnrubber:

So after driving it more today and yesterday I've found out I'm actually slightly rubbing the top of the fenders in the rear on hard turns. So I'm going to try and slightly roll my fenders to get it to fix. It's really odd as only the driver rear is "really bad" the passenger rear rubs maybe once on my commute to work, the fronts don't rub anymore which is good.

But I'm not sure when I'll have time, looking into some options today and tomorrow

Are you still on stock TEMS suspension? Maybe it's the new wheels and tires, but it looks lower than before.

Yeah still stock suspension. I was thinking getting a coilover setup with stiff springs but haven't looked into it much because it'll take a little for them to get here.

I think it could be just how little the stock stuff fit into the fenders as there was a lot of room

The new setup does look much better. Functioning TEMS is rare these days. My stock TEMS shocks were blown and Tokico wasn't making the Illumina's at the time, so I went with Tein coilovers.

I'm pretty sure it still works, I hear a noise in the back when I press it haha. I'll have to look into coil overs because I'd want them anyways. In the mean time may just buy a fender roller tool and roll the rears to keep from rubbing

@Suprajim54 there is a local guy that has these coilovers but he's asking $700 for them and he's got about 500 miles on them.

    https://thmotorsports.com/5244688-tein-gst38-51ss3-dampers-street-flex

    Here's some actual pics:

    44852319_1935938099827126_44029259375496_69aed3bccaddd677c91acca5040223038bf0342e.jpg

    Tein GST38-51SS3 $700.00
    -These were $1300 new
    -less than 500 miles
    -Includes pillow ball mounts
    -EDFC compatible

Do you think this is a good deal? I think since my suspension is about 30 years old that it's pretty shot which is why my body roll is so bad thus causing a little bit of rubbing (even after a messed with my fenders)

I think it's a good deal if they are truly the Street Flex coilovers. Many of the Tein models look really similar so just be sure you're getting what he says it is, but new prices vary wildly. THmotorsports is selling that part number for $1890 https://thmotorsports.com/5244688-tein-gst38-51ss3-dampers-street-flex , another place has them for $1087 https://www.darksidemotoring.com/products/tein-street-flex-coilover-kit-1987-1992-toyota-supra . I have the cheaper Street Advance coilovers ($650 new) but love them. Teins are rebuildable too, so thats another reason to go with them. I do like that the Flex are EDFC compatible in case you want the electronic damping control similar to your TEMS. TEMS is cool, but the compatible shocks can be hard to come by. I'd say it's a good enough deal to jump on if you can spare the cash.

Gotcha, I'll try and get some more info from him once he replies to my PM. It's also local to me so I can go and pick them up sometime this week if I wanted to snag em. Thanks

Definitely looked like a good turnout. The last Supra meet in Dallas only had 5 cars, 2 MK3's and 3 MK4's. Any other 7M cars besides yours?

Actually there were only like 2-3 other 7M's if that. There was a 1UZFE, quite a few of 2Js and maybe a 1J. Not a lot of them had the hoods open, good news for me is it seems like a few people know about 1J and 2J swaps haha

For awhile JZ engines where going up in price, but seems like they're still readily available from the JDM importers. I'm on the 3rd 7M in this car, and if it blows again, I'll go 2JZ. V8 with a cam sounds good, but not like the sound of a huge turbo spooling.

Agreed. I just think a cam'd v8 in my Minitruck would sound mean. But a snail would make it much more fun.. :notsure:

@Suprajim54 do you happen to know your ground to fender measurements? Just curious
