That looks nice! How did you install that airduct and bottom lip? Been looking at something since mine are both broken.

That's the plan! I want to get a new elbow, downpipe, new cat (since mine is rusted to shit) and then the exhaust. I'm wanting to keep it quite for now without an obnoxious drone.

I went with the varex after driving my buddy's '17 M3 around for a few days. Being able to turn the loud on and off at will is a great feeling

The original grille pieces were more or less broken out, so I cut them out completely and replaced with the S2 Air Guide from ShineAuto. I drilled a few holes in the bumper and air guide and riveted it in. Not perfect, but not noticeable for the most part.

My factory lip was barely hanging on when I got the car, but I found a decent JZA70 lip to replace it. Luckily, most of the factory metal pieces were still there to remount this one.

Hmmm I'll have to look into that then.

Yeah mine are both like that one reason why I'll probably do that right before my paint job.

Yup I realized that right after I posted it. More than likely the dp I'll be going with

Josh....I may have already posted this somewhere on you thread....but love the car. This is my favorite Supra model. I was in high school when this model popped. I wanted one so bad. I still see a couple of them at Cars and Coffee every now and then.

    Subb'd

Made some more progress as I wait on tools/parts.

Got the bearings all replaced 2 days ago as well as order my coilover! :woot:

Got my steering rack disassembled and cleaned up. Waiting for primer to dry before I attempt reassembly this weekend.

Steering rack is rebuilt! Also took the lower part of the bumper off since it was beat to shit. Replaced the burnt out lights as well. Not much left to do until I can get the tools I need

So I'm trying to figure out this exhaust thing to make sure I've got everything. So you've got turbo->elbow->downpipe->cat->muffler->exhaust tip. Is that correct? What about the resonator?

I plan on doing turbo->elbow/downpipe combo->cat (is this needed or use a test pipe?)->muffler-exhaust tip.

Plan on doing the DP from driftmotion that has both elbow and DP. Then the Tanabe Touring Medallion exhaust. What about the cat/resonator?

Does it need a resonator? Turbos tend to chop of the exhaust note anyway.

Well that'll be sweet. Test pipe will help with turbo lag. The less back pressure you can have the better. So test pipe is cool if you dont have emissions testing.

But will also make it louder as it's not far from straight piped at that point haha

Nope it's over 25 years so no emissions. I guess I could always get a test pipe and if I don't like it buy another cat and install it. So hopefully since the Tanabe is naturally quiet the test pipe will even things out? :notsure: haha

It's on the quieter side so I don't think it'll be bad.
