Or they could be a single flare but I’m pretty sure they are double flare.

Edit: Pretty sure I have to deburr it so I'll need to snag one of dem

    Some more updates:

Oil pan was removed, cleaned up and repainted

    Reinstalled using FIPG

Fuel filter is very easy to remove once the rear subframe was removed haha

The old bushings didn't look too bad but still

I also cleaned up the front subframe and put the bushings in, just waiting on getting my brake lines done and the front can go back together. All of my exhaust components have been ordered as well.

Also refilled the transmission and swapped in some Marlin Crawler shifter bushings

I've done a mod or two
Those bushings looked way better than the ones in my Z31 ever did. I'm trying to make some front tension arms for my IS300 with heims instead of rubber bushings now.

Not much has happened as I had to take a business trip out this past week. But hopefully next Monday I can start getting more done.

Yeah I thought they looked pretty decent, which makes me wonder if one of the PO did it all, especially since the fuel filter wasn't OEM it was Napa. But ah well I know they are done now and are good for as long as I own it :fingerscrossed:

Well inbetween work trip, camping trip and waiting on parts I got a little bit done. Not much tho but progress is progress

Got front subframe bushings in and attempted to get my steering rack installed but one of the bushings were too big. Seems to be a normal problem with the ones I got but I didn't like it so I took them out and am waiting on new parts again.....

All of my exhaust components showed up but since I have the dp out I'm going to wrap it as a precaution since it's easy

Got the test pipe painted in some high temp paint

Got the rear subframe reinforced and painted.

Going to try and get some bushings installed later tonight but I've got to get the truck ready for another trip this weekend so progress will be slow. Hopefully next week I can start moving faster as all of my parts (besides BBK) will be here. :fingerscrossed:

    Slowly but surely.

Got both subframes in, along with the steering rack and rear diff obviously. The down pipe still needs one nut since I gummed up the other one but it’s in as well. Got the engine bar out in probably a month :woot:

Just realized these are super shitty pics haha. Don’t really care as it’s been a long day. Will continue more on Sunday.

Also ordered all of the big break kit parts, which should be here tomorrow :D

Joshiboy....really enjoying the thread. I may not post much....but I'm watching every move.

Hey....thought you might appreciate this. My buddies '93 RX-7 TT FD...built in February '92. He's owned it for 25 years...buying from the original owner.

In great shape cosmetically...but like many rotary engines, she just got tired. It was parked in his garage for nearly 3 years.

We've spent the last 18 months getting it on the road. New factory 13b long block, ATC clutch, OEM twin turbo delete, single Borg Warner EFR 8374 turbo, Haltech management system, all fluids changed. Still needs tires, brake pads and a proper tune. Haltech is headquartered right here in Lexington. But they don't do rotary tunes. So on the 20th we're trailering it to Louisville for an affiliated shop that specializes in rotaries to perform a dyno tune. 400 hp, 300+ ft lbs of torque are realistic. Those numbers in a 2700 lb car = stupid quick. We'll see.

We gotta keep these old Japanese cars on the road (Supras, 300ZXs, RX-7s, etc). They're disappearing on us.

Of all the 90's Japanese sports cars, the FD RX-7 was always the best looking to me.

Amazes me the looks and comments we get when we're out in it. A few people know exactly what it is and zone right in on it. Others haven't a clue what it is. Those people are always blown away that it's a nearly 30 year old car. It's just aged so well.

As much as I like the FDs....Josh's ride was my high school crush. I was a senior when that body style popped. I would have gladly donated both of my balls for one at the time.

I got new tires on after painting my wheels a bronze color. Need to pop my center caps back on

That thing is sick! I love those, I think they are more rare IMO than mk4 Supras. I’ve only seen like 1 or 2 of them in the wild.

Noice! Love bronze wheels, makes everything pop

    Making some good progress

    81230932-0F47-4670-AF23-BDDCA0128EB2.jpg

Both sides are looking like this. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the hubs and brakes on. Rock auto sent me the wrong tie rod for the driver side so hopefully I can get that figured out.

Welp back to waiting on parts, have everything installed/torqued except brakes and entire rear suspension. I need some blue loctite for the calipers, waiting on the driver tie-rod before I can finish that side off. Swaybar and endlinks have been torqued. As for the rear waiting on some special stuff that should ship Monday, once those get here I can finish everything up and hopefully she starts :fingerscrossed:

Steering rack was leaking as I attempted to bleed the system, gonna rip it apart and replace the seal that I think blew and then put it all together and try again. Not 100% sure what happened but it fucking sucks.......
