Since I finally had enough mods on the truck I thought I'd start a build.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask

Truck is no longer a DD! Currently driving a 1991 Toyota Supra, follow that build too if ya want. Goal for this truck now is purely an offroading rig and will get little pavement time except going to trails.

    Here's some specs:

    2000 Tacoma TRD 4x4 V6 5-speed

I bought it July of 2013 with ~128k miles from a member on here for a pretty good deal, nothing wrong with it except some bald tires and some surface frame rust.

Haven't done anything recently, saving up for some sliders.

But my air unit has been making a funny sound (and blows out dust a little) since my last camping trip. I think some dirt got in there some how. It looks (from the maintenance book) that its a lot of work just to get to the blower unit. So I haven't checked it yet

The antenna would be perfect. Their website doesn't have a good shot of it. I'd like to see it w/the tailgate open. Also, how are you running your coaxial cable to the antenna? As for the cb, I have a general idea how to mount it. Thank man, much appreciated.

There is a grommet in the storage compartment behind the driver, I just slit that open and shoved the wire through then up my taillight

Cool man, did you have to drill new holes or use the existing holesfor the mount? It looks like you're using the stock holes foe the latch. Is that correct? Thanks for the info and pics, greatly appreciate it.

Yea there was no drilling at all (except to keep the antenna from grounding out, we made the antenna hole bigger and threw in a rubber washer) BAMF makes a great product for this. Just have to paint it and that's it
