I am a new 3rd gen Tacoma SR5 owner looking for some mod ideas mostly cosmetic. Ive already installed a K&N air intake and a behind the bumper LED light bar and thinking about painting the interior dash panels to match the truck. I don't plan on lifting it since its my daily driver and its only 2WD. Any thoughts or recommendations would be helpful.

Hey bud, congrats on the buy, I’m in similar boat with recent purchase.

But just for reference if you go back to the 3rd gen forum, at top are stickies, in there there are a few great threads on mods and tips and quick reference things. I’d start there, tons of info in them!

    Congrats! And welcome!

Not trying to upset ya, but you just wasted money on the K&N filter as it does no good on newer vehicles. The computer will automatically adjust the correct air/fuel flow to compensate and give you no added benefit.

Though there might not be any major performance increase after the filter it did give it a deeper tone to the exhaust which I enjoy plus I have seen a slight increase in MPG (which might just be the vehicle breaking in) never the less I still don't think it was wasted money.
