If you remove the head unit, there's a relay on the passenger side that supplies the proper pink wire:

 

That might be a little easier to get to. I just tap in to it like I would at the switch right?

And I thought everyone else would follow your lead...not many dare anymore.

 

To be fair, my warranty was up so I figured I had nothing to lose. If I was still under warranty, I might not do it either. Also harnesses weren't available at the time, so...

It also helps that electrical stuff and using a meter is pretty easy for me due to my job, not everyone is comfortable with the stuff.

 

Yes he is the king. He could make out what I was asking for and pointed me to the right wire both times.

 

OP, I have a question. I couldn't find the full install information of the Cool dog gadget. So, my question is: Is the vehicle going to be ON for the system to work?

 

Yes, I will turn it on when I get out of the truck and it will be armed. Here is the installation pdf

If you have any other cool ideas I should do with it let me know. I still have a window down wire free.

 

I found an issue. If the vehicle is OFF, there's no juice to the sliding window relays, so providing a ground to the sliding window switch would do nothing.
