Hilarious, but true. Fortunately I had my Tacoma stolen. Withdrawal is brutal.

Now I'm almost cured of tacomaholicalism.

No aftermarket... and the two REBEL forums are basically asleep. I have found some relevant mod info on a RAM forum or two, but the truck really doesn't need much.

... my wallet doesn't miss my Taco, but I do.

 

You haven't had clearance issues with those steps?

 

That's surprising. Hopefully that'll change with time! I was pleasantly surprised at the aftemarket and fan base for my 2015 Subaru Legacy that I replaced my Tacoma with. It's no TW, but it's alright.

 

The truck has adjustable air ride suspension. Push a button and it goes up 2" in Off-Road mode. Hit 55 mph and it goes down 1" from Normal into Aero mode and MDS kicks in to give me retardedly low fuel consumption. Push a button on the key fob, and it goes right down to Entry/Exit mode for the lady in heels and a skirt... and I hooked up a dump trailer full of wood yesterday and the load sensors automatically levelled out the rear. Pretty slick.

If you reverse the little plastic arms from front to rear that attach the UCA's to the sensors, you can fool the system into giving you a 2" lift. I've ordered some hardware parts (8mm/10mm ball socket joints and 5mm threaded rod) to make my own sensor arms that I can change out in less than 5 minutes for off roading, since the system automatically wants to level out to NORMAL over 5 mph, and the arms give 2" of lift in Normal mode.

... and those fugly side steps will be history real soon. I've located some AVID step sliders with kick-outs for a DCLB (98") for cheap that I'll convert to frame mount sliders. Anything that's aftermarket for a RAM is stupid expensive. There is also a huge void behind the front skid where I'm going to install a Smittybilt 10K RC winch on a winch plate welded to cross members and bolted to the frame where the front tow hooks attach. All this thanks to the knowledge gleaned from 5 years on TW!

I still have a pile of aftermarket parts in the garage that were un-installed before my Taco was stolen. I've already sold a lot, some I'll use, and some will go up for sale, like my NIB Pelfreybilt Hidden Winch Mount ('12 - '15).

 

Now that's really fucking cool.
