So I’ve always had condensation drip on passenger side foot well, but now it sounds like waves crashing on the beach or a slushy machine when I turn left but not when I turn right??? Great upgrade!!! But… the drip is much worse and cold water on wife’s feet.. anyone else have this? Any solution to keep the sound effects but lose the water???

I have had this happen a few times but it’s only after going through a car wash. The AC stopped working at the same time but was functional again after a few hours of driving.

I did a bunch of internet research and the best thing I could find that made sense was that it was water intrusion from the undercarriage spray that made the cabin air filter wet, causing the AC to stop blowing air through. I could hear the blower motor running but no air was coming out. So it would make sense that the cabin air filter was soaked and air couldn’t get through.

I leave the vents off when I go through the wash now and it hasn’t happened in a few months.

Your gutter could be plugged with debris. This happened to my 2nd gen a couple times. Pull your windshield cowl off and check down in the corners by the doors for debris. On my truck, this caused water to back up into the HVAC intake on the passenger side, resulting in water on the passenger floor.

Your condensate drain is plugged up and the evaporator box is full of water.

I remove wiper cowl once a year to clean under it. Lot of tree debris (leaf pieces, seeds, needles) gets in there and plugs drains.

    Update:
    * Blower motor stopped yesterday. No air coming out or noise
    - I located the evap drain tube (goes through passenger firewall) cleaned it no water came out
    - popped the cowl up but didn’t see or feel a buncha shit down in there so didn’t remove wipers to remove completely
    * condinsation coming from above the evap drain tube behind dash??
*any other ideas or did I go too lazy on the cowl thing?

I have the same issue currently. My drain still releases water though. It only drips while running the A/C on fresh air mode (humid Florida).

There are a couple of threads on this:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/leaking-evaporator-box-thread.689623/

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/water-leaking-in-passenger-floorboard.750360/

Hoping to get mine taken care of under extended warranty. If I didn't have a warranty I'd be tearing the dash apart and sealing the evap box with some sealant.

NP. I haven't had a chance to run it long enough to take a picture/investigate the drippage and drop it off to the dealer. I assume I have to drop it off WHILE it's dripping for them to figure it out.

Tech tried to flush but didn’t clear. Extended warranty covers the blower motor but not replacing the evap box(most of the cost).. they offered to try to flush the system again for $90 so going to try that and new blower motor :fingerscrossed:
