So I just bought a 2000 Tacoma Prerunner recently and I noticed the coolant was green. I thought the right color was the red Toyota long life stuff, so i decided i was going to flush the system and put the red stuff in. I added the prestone coolant flush a few days ago but according to the dealership Toyota used green ethylene- glycol antifreeze and they said it's fine and I don't need to worry about it. But my question is about the coolant flush i put in, is it safe to leave it in there until i change it later down the road?

I probably wouldn't leave the coolant flush in. It may cause corrosion and eat up your hoses. What type of flush did you use? I use straight white vinegar and it seems to work wonders.

Should be fine. At least it's not yellow or brown

This x2. Call the manufacturer and they will provide you with a good answer.

I tried calling them but customer service is closed for the day. Out of luck there until Monday.

Cheap enough- I would not risk it. Swap it out since the flush is in there.
