So a few days ago I swapped some plugs and coils after a p0304 code popped up and managed to get it to clear. noticed my coolant was a little low so I topped it off and went about my business. a few days later, I was compelled to check up on it and voila coolant gone. there's no puddles or anything.

I then notice my coolant was bubbling after stopping and thought it was the head gasket. I checked the oil but it looked good, no milkyness, no overheating, no white smoke or sweet smell/taste.

then I decided to stick my phone in different parts of the hood and found this (video attached). could this be a bad water pump? I'm not super mechanically inclined but I'm hoping it's the water pump and not the head gasket.

but yeah if anyone has any idea what this could be I can start ordering replacement seals, gaskets, parts, whatever.

What you see in your video is probably oil. It isn't coolant, it would be pink.

Look by the oil dipstick here:
That is the coolant bypass pipe leaking. Known issue is a plastic pipe. The replacement is a metal pipe.

Probably just seeping oil leak at the valve cover gasket. Its an 2005 and the gasket is old and dry.

Clean it real good with some degreaser and keep an eye on it and you will be able to see where it starts leaking.

As for the coolant "leak" it will show as a dry pink crust. Keep topping it off and it may stop when all the air is out of the system.

ah thanks for the insight. valve cover replacement job is looking expensive, and will continue to monitor the coolant disappearing.

You might also check the other end of the bypass pipe at the firewall. The large end hooks to a heater hose, but there is a smaller nipple that points upward and has a small hose attached that runs to the throttle body if I remember correctly. That nipple has a tendency to crack and break off. check this area for leaks, but be careful not to move the hoses much unless you are ready to change the crossover pipe.
