Coolant mess

2004 SR5 2.4 liter extended cab 2WD

I recently had a radiator failure that sprayed coolant and white scale sediment all over the engine, the underside of the hood and into the alternator and a/c compressor along with all the belts. I want to hose everything down, but I’m concerned about getting water into the alternator or A/C compressor.
Should I also replace the belts?

Put a plastic bag over the alternator before spraying water.
Replace belts if cracked or frayed.
