Also minor update, I got in contact with a Toyota private mechanic and I will bring over my truck via tow for him to take a look. He mentioned what was mentioned here yesterday that these aluminum engines do not like to be overheated, so we will see what he says. I will probably make the next update later on next week as that is when he will be looking at it.

I hope it didn’t get hot enough to harm it. It sounds like it didn’t run very long dry. Good luck!

Thank you I appreciate that! Yeah I have hope because I drove it just below 3 miles as it happened and I did not notice any symptoms when the lights came on, otherwise I would've pulled over immediately. No stalling or major limp mode or weird rpms so I have hope!

Yah, hopefully it didn’t run dry, or better, not at all.

Lower radiator hose on older stuff was an engine killer. Coolant leaked out so fast the thermostat would be reading air temperature before it would react.

3 miles? Ouch. 50-50 odds at best overheat temps didn't get high enough to cause damage.

Did you not notice a loss of power steering and a/c? Doesn't take much to overheat these engines once the belts gone.

Yeah I mentally prepared myself for it being a 50/50 so we shall see, hoping for the best.

I did not notice loss of either, both worked just as good and I even held my hands over my AC just before I powered down and felt normal and cool. That's the reason I didn't pull over lol, everything worked as normal. I should have pulled over though.

Also I should add, as the previous question I answered made me think, my belt is mostly still on the pulley track. The only part that I assume is off would be the lower right side where the pulley actually sucked it up. Aside from that most of the belt seemed to still be intact and on track interestingly enough, probably making there not be a sudden or major loss of the components. I assume the initial overheating was caused by the fan being restricted by the belt being sucked into the pulley, thus blowing a hose from overheating, or pulling, slicing a hose from the belt spinning around. Not 100% sure yet though.

No did not hear much to be honest, I even rode the way home after seeing the lights with my windows down to listen, the only thing I heard that was off was the coolant sizzling once I powered down the engine, and it powered down as it usually does every time (noise and feeling wise).

Maybe Toyota over did the sound deadening. Thinking back, I think my Taco is the quietest vehicle I’ve owned, except my first and only new car; a 93 Gand Marq.

I got loud all terrain tires too so that probably didn't help with the noise lol

Also, can someone send a link to all hoses that are used by the radiator/coolant system? Was searching online and don't know if I am finding all of them or not. Wanted to see them all just so I know when I hear back from further inspection what exactly I will need, and may replace them all just to be safe and prevent it happening again from the stress of the heat.

While you’re in there I’d check the water pump weep hole. If you see dried up coolant down the front on the engine then it might be time to do the water pump.

    Update/Good news:

So me and my dad picked up the truck today, and everything looks/sounds okay! The mechanic said that the engine seemed fine from what he saw and heard and mentioned just to monitor it and check the coolant level after each drive. He also confirmed the theory that Dm93 mentioned that the coolant hose was spinning around from the pulley and slit holes into the coolant hoses just above the pulley. He replaced the serpentine belt and did a full reflush and fill of the coolant and replaced the damaged hoses.
I drove the truck home and all felt normal and sounded normal, when I parked at home I recorded the idle and compared it to other Tacoma idle videos and they sound identical. So I believe my engine is okay after all, I will very closely monitor it though for the next few weeks to confirm it is mostly good and hasn't suffered any other damages, but time will tell.

Thank you all for all of the help, insight, and good wishes, I really appreciate all of it!
If any other major incidents or updates occur I will be sure to post them!
