Well TW, you've been rather massively helpful in times past.

Right now, I'm losing coolant as depicted in the three pics below, and I cannot find the source. I do have a known tiny seep where the lower radiator hose joins the engine, but that's not this. The overflow reservoir is empty. The radiator fluid level is down slightly, maybe an inch.

I ran the engine in the garage just now to operating temp, but I couldn't see a leak. Where's this splattering coming from?

    Other info:
    2001 3.4 engine
Water pump replaced with aftermarket/Advance Auto part 23K miles/four years ago
Radiator cap is <1 year old
    Radiator itself is OEM

my guess is that the radiator seams are seeping. This is maybe an hour job with the correct tools.

That'd be great, and no biggie, as I've had the radiator off before.

Could anyone recommend a reasonably priced pressure test kit?

Okay, AutoZone to the rescue; rented a tester. With 12 PSI, I got it to bubble out the bottom, as pictured below. Bubbles are just left of the hose at right.

There's three different radiators. Hang on and let me see if I can find them. What's your truck? Auto or manual?

Edit: Found it. 18 7/8 is the one Toyota specifies for the 5-lug. The middle height one is for Prerunners and 4x4s with a manual transmission. The tallest one is for Prerunners and 4x4s with the auto.

Hey thanks. I have the 3.4L 4WD with automatic trans. I got the part number from Toyota Parts of Dallas, but their website said "Item Discontinued", so I plugged the part# into Amazon.com and got it ordered on Prime. (So, I assume I got the right thing...)

I installed this radiator today. No problems so far. I figured I got 17 years from the OEM, so get another OEM...

The main thing I'm glad of is that it happened at home, not out on the road.
