    Hello good afternoon,
I have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma V6 271,000 MI. My 10th gauge on the dash always stays in the exact same spot it seems to be perfect when I hook a scanner up to it and check those readings it says 185 consistently as I was looking through on the live data I noticed there's another coolant temperature that goes up and down constantly between 100 and 400 back down it's always sporadic should I be concerned? Does anyone know where the two sensors are located?Screenshot_20231110_111435.jpg

This looks like some Bluetooth or WiFi OBDII device and an android app.

Tell us exactly what they are.

In the meantime, I bet it is your transmission or torque converter temperature.

I think that app is wrong though. If your transmission fluid got up to 400+ degrees, it’d be fried up.

Probably a scan tool bug, I wouldn't worry about it. 2nd gens only have 1 coolant temp sensor and they run a 180 degree thermostat so coolant operating temp typically stays around 175-190F

Cool I was thinking the ecu might tell it to maybe send more or less gas maybe... I know it sounds kinda stupid but I average between 13.5mpg and maybe just maybe on a good fill up 14mpg. Do you think that's normal? I used to run the tacoma texas edition wheels but for about 6 m months now I've been running the 20inch first gen tacoma or tundra rims and I feel like I maybe get 1mpg better.. 13.53mpg consistentlyis that normal?

If your lifted and/or running oversize and/or LT tires/wheels fuel mileage will definitely suffer but that does seem kinda low.

Idk what the PID is reading from but it's definitely not a temp sensor, the coolant temp sensor isn't even capable of reading anything higher than 284F and it would also set codes if it was changing back and forth that quickly.
