Hello. My truck is low on coolant in the resivore and I was wondering if I need to put the Toyota special long life coolant in it or just regular 50/50 from autozone. Also is it bad to mix coolant?

Go get 50/50 pre diluted coolant from the dealership/eBay/Amazon and add coolant so it is about half way between the low and high marks. Don't mix other coolants.

My question is is it wasn't that low a little while ago I know it is not leaking it's not overheating or showing any signs of a coolant leak where could it go

Not saying it is, but a leaking head gasket will make coolant disappear. Either into the oil, or combustion chamber. Take off radiator cap and start the engine, if it bubbles up it could be a head gasket leaking, check oil as well, if milky it also could be head gasket.

You might try a new radiator cap while you're at it. A weak old one will let a little coolant out.

It will evaporate over time it's just the nature of the beast. Just add some coolant and keep an eye on it. If it remains at a consistent level your golden if it's at the low mark in 3 weeks dig deeper

Coolant is one of those fluids where you should *not* mix different types. I agree if you just need a small amount for top-off, distilled water is OK. Anything more than a few cups, use coolant, not water.
