Hey guys, I have an rtic 65 cooler (knockoff of yeti 65). I'm curious if it will fit across the back seats in the access cab, or if the center console sticks too far back.

    Thanks!

You may need to provide measurements from your cooler for someone to go measure their truck, in the event no one has the RTIC, or that it is a very small amount wider.

From the full size yetis I've seen there is no way it will fit in an AC.

Are you considering buying a truck to fit your cooler.... WTF?

I should have thought of that. The cooler is 15.5 inches wide at the bottom and 18.5 inches wide at the top. I'm assuming ~ 17 inches wide where it would hit the console.

Hahaha. No, no I am not. My truck gets here soon, and I am designing a sleeping platform. I need to know whether I have to reinforce the platform to accommodate an already heavy cooler loaded down with ice for elk season, or whether I can store the cooler in the rear seat of the access cab.

Toyota should have legroom specs posted for access and double cabs. May give you perspective.

You didn't buy a knockoff. You bought the same product at half the price. The owner of RTIC is the former co-owner of YETI. The design is the same.

    Respect the RTIC!

Legroom? He ask about sitting it on the seats and not hitting the console.

Correct. It was about getting perspective.

The legroom specs do show much more than enough room (24.6"), and fortunately I am short and don't mind sliding my front seat(s) forward to accommodate a cooler. However, I'm not sure how far the center console is from the back of the cab. I should also keep in mind that the distance from the back of the front seat to the rear of the cab will diminish depending on where I measure from (the higher on the seat, the more it slopes backward and less distance to back of cab).

I was thinking East to West, not North and South. But I'm in a DC.

I wouldn't want to place that on my rear seat, loaded up with ice for any length of time. But I'm pretty sure it would fit in a DC, not certain about an AC.

I have a yeti 110 that I can squeeze in my access cab back seats...if I have something on the floorboards to level it up to the seat bottoms. I'm going to build a platform that sits over the top of the seats folded down so it's secure. I think you will be fine. But I'm also a girl and don't need my seats slid all the way back so ymmv!

Awesome! I was getting prepared for it not to fit, but this would be huge. I do a lot of long drives and long trips into the backcountry, often where I absolutely need ice at the end to keep meat cold. Sometimes I'll be sleeping in the truck instead of packing in, and I didn't want to have to lug a 95lb cooler+ice in and out of the bed! @FARTBOXTONGUEPUNCHER @jenren81 pics would be much appreciated!

Just didn't want to start a cooler war :). They're all good. Some folks get mighty touchy about those things seems like.

Wow, that's pretty darn good. It doesn't look like it's taking up as much of the backseat as I'd thought. If you only had the 65 in there, could the driver's seat recline completely?
