A cooler is a cooler is a cooler.

That being said, I bought a YETI. Why? Because I wanted my cooler to say YETI.

Me too... I got the 52qt for $150 and I'm quite pleased with it. Would I rather have a YETI or ORCA? Yeah probably, but definitely not for more than twice the price.

I wasn't blown away with my newly purchased orca.

Was expecting it to retain ice a little better in the sun like in all these video reviews online.

I guess sun and hundred+ degree temps proved too much for my 58qt

I have a Siberian Alpha cooler and to me it holds ice just as long if not longer than my ORCA. If you are military, LE, or fire department you can generally get at least a 15% discount with them.

How'd that turn out - I've been eyeing these for a while. Been thinking baout getting a 50 and a 25. Borrowed my dad's 65Q RTIC last month, and honestly wasn't all that impressed. Heavy before you add your food/drinks/ice, and is an anchor fully loaded. Didn't hold ice all that well once you added hot drinks.

I’ve had a Yeti 45 for the past five years.

Saved up some gift cards to buy it.

It is misleading as it’s internal capacity dimensions are much less than what many folks think.

It’s as big as I’d want to have to move around when loaded.

For permanent truckbed use I’m leaning towards a larger RTIC.

I have had numerous big brand coolers but I think the new Siberian Alpha I have now may be the best one. I like my ORCA too but check out the ice challenge below.

Use my RTIC 65 as a beer fridge, love this thing.

This is after over a week, no ice was added.

Haha, this question has been asked numerous times regarding these pics, this was just a test, had some family coming into town and hadn't used the cooler yet so I decided to put some extra beer on ice to test the cooler out.

I am in the market for a new cooler. The cheapies last me 3-5 years before the cheap hinges break or the drain plug gets ripped off and lost. I fell in love with the Yeti but considering the dollar exchange these are gold plated right now.

I have a plan!!! Every year my extended family can’t figure out what to get me for Christmas and I usually get a gift card or some stupid stuff I end up giving away or forgetting about. I let everyone know that a Yeti is my choice this year. Field and Stream is the closest dealer that carries Yeti so I let everyone know a gift card there (or cash for specifically for the Yeti) would be awesome. That way I will invest in my last cooler and have some help to make it a little less painful when I hit the checkout.

Another vote for RTIC, my 45 keeps ice all day on the water and more. Also built well enough to double as a poling/casting platform or dry storage if I don't need ice. Can't beat the price compared to YETI either...

I have the older style RTIC, got it for a great price when they were dumping their inventory because of the Yeti lawsuit ($139 for a 65 quart), it is essentially the same exact thing as a Yeti, one just says RTIC the other says Yeti.

Same, other than the discount, I was one of the first few orders... spent a lot of time waiting and hoping, but completely worth it. My uncle has two yeti 65's and a 45 and mine looks exactly the same as his 45 and works just as well.

I posted the wrong link earlier. Below is the longer version of the “Best of the Best” cooler challenge so you can and see how your favorite coolers stack up. These guys run legit tests that are fun to watch. My Siberian and ORCAs have done really well for me.

I have both Yeti and Rtic. Both are neck and neck in performance. The fit and finish on the Yeti is a bit more refined.

I also just bought a 65, in blue. I saw the sale last week, said I didn't need it, and then broke down today because the price seemed so good.
