I've noticed with my '25 Taco, a fan comes on for about 2 seconds, then shuts off for about 30 seconds, then on again for about 2 seconds...I assume this is some sort of cooling fan, but not sure why it cycles like that. Any thoughts?

The AC compressor/fan cycles a lot.

That could be what I'm hearing. Doesn't seem like it stays on long enough to do anything really.

Getting used to the new truck’s transition to electric fans cycling in general is an adjustment from the old trucks. They now just do their thing based on data, and not the gas pedal.

But, that’s why the A/C always blows super-cold. More importantly, it’s also why the turbo won’t cook at lower rpm’s, extending its life a very very long time.

Great point. I just saw a video hosted by the Chief Design Engineer for the Tacoma with Toyota, and he claimed the reliability and longevity for the Turbo engine in the Tacoma is known to reside with keep things cool. He said the cooling system used on our Tacomas are equivalent in capacity to the system they commonly use on V8's at Toyota.

yes cause vroom. vroom HIGH HP makes Hot hot heat! ever notice the coolant control valve on the drivers side of the engine? it diverts coolant to where ever the ECM thinks necessary. ive noticed on my iforce maxx that when its cold out i will not get heat untill engine is up to operating temp and then boom instant heat, like a valve turned and said engine warm now cab gets heat.
