I've got a pair of black and tans and a bluetick. I don't hunt, not that I'm against it but I grew up overseas (Army brat) and unlike here where your Father can take you out hunting and expose you to it, they wouldn't allow such things in Germany at the time. I would love to go out just to watch them do their thing and listen to them bay.
Mine are just spoiled house dogs.

Damn, I was born in Nashville, but hit the ground running. I remember when I brought my first one home, my Father says " oh, one of those" then he went on to explain that someone in the neighborhood down there had 5 or 6 of them that would just raise hell when they walked me by in the stroller.

My brother's best coonhound, had to be put down after Walker days last year. She was a nite champion and bench champion, that night he would have finished her out too grand nite champion. But she climbed a leaned over tree and she fell out and broke her back, so she had to be put down:(. It broke my brothers heart.

Can you guys post some pictures of your dogs? I've only seen one other one around here besides mine. I'll try to post some pictures of mine when I get home. I'm sure the hunters will not be amused by the life mine are living. I really want to get a picture of my "new" bluetick on here so those who know more about them can take a look. He has kind of a square head. Maybe a blue gascon mix? He's the first male I've owned so I'm not quite sure.
01, I know how your brother feels, I had to put my female bluetick down on 12/07/08 I still can't look at a picture of her without a tear coming to my eyes.
