I've had a set of the 6-ply C-rated LT265/70R-17 on my '13 DCSB 4x4 Sport for a little over a year and just over 10k miles. I had an out-of-round tire in the original set that was warrantied by Discount Tire, and the others tended to exhibit "belt slippage" (significant vibration) until warmed up after about 5 miles of driving. That is, until I learned to keep at least 35-40psi in them, which seems to have addressed tire carcass movement. The truck steers heavier than with the OE street tires, but I don't necessarily consider that a negative. They've been durable when taken lightly off-road in hunting situations in South and East Texas, and are easy to live with on a daily-driver basis. They're also relatively quiet on the highway.

I hear you all and understand. The only thing I'd be towing is a small, think Aliner 2000lb small, pop up camper. Most of my driving is on highways and gravel. I think the 10 ply would be overkill for me.

I'm on my second set of LT275/70-17s Load Range C AT3s on my 2006 DCSB. First set lasted almost 60K IIRC. Second set looks new at about 17K and have been swapped over to a 2013 DCLB. Best tires I've owned and I've owned a lot. They strike the right balance for me while compromising almost nothing. E-rated tires will tend to knock your fillings loose unless you're really heavy or have the need. As my truck is my daily driver, hauler, hunter and back country explorer, the Load Range C tires are the sweet spot.

Success! I bought 265/70R17 Cooper AT3 for my 2013 TRD Sport with stock 17" wheels. No rubbing whatsoever. I went fishing up in Basalt this weekend and had a few full angle 3 point turns where the roads got narrow and had zero rubbing.
