Their website only says they sell the ATP model, has anyone actually ordered the AT3 through Discount Tire and had them installed there?

Yea discount/America's doesn't have them in all sizes. Discount direct is mail order, and will send to a shop you choose.

Gotcha. Didn't realize that. I see "OWL" on all my sizes, does that mean I am stuck with white walls, or I have the option to flip them so black is showing?

Also, my tire size is 265/70/16 and I don't want any special heavy load rated tires. Just normal. I take it this would be that?

America's Tire sells the ATP which is pretty much the same tire IIRC.

    I'm on 265/75/16 ATPs myself.

They should be white on one side black on the other. I've always run black out, on my ATR, AT3, ATP and now St maxx

Do you like them? That's a size up right? Any noticeable drop in MPG just from going up a tire size? I debated that. Only reason I am thinking AT3 is I heard they are "quieter" on the road. Not sure that's true or not

The ST MAXX is quieter than my other Cooper's! It surprised me.

I didn't lose any MPGs versus the Hankook tires I had before the ATP in the same size.

I lost MPGs when I lifted and went bigger tires and from the factory Dunlop highway tires to a decent AT.

Quite a bit actually, but I can't say what the MPG loss was mainly attributed to - lift, tires, or both. I also have the 2.7 so I think that's the biggest component of that picture.

Stock truck had excellent MPGs. Current truck is acceptable MPGs.

Other than that I have no complaints at all.

They do great in every condition I see in my neck of CA. Snow included (though not much, because not 4x4).

Cool, thanks. I am assuming I can do an even swap out for the 265/75/16 without any modifications. I don't want to do any kind of lift currently. Maybe someday, but not now

You'll be good. They fit great, no rubs anywhere.

The ATP is a Discount Tire-exclusive, and is more aggressive than the AT3. Both are excellent tires, the ATP will be quiet, and the AT3 will be silent. Really can't go wrong with either, especially if you've driven this long on those horrible stockers.
