This year I'm going to have to replace the original tires on my completely stock 2015 TRD Sport. I currently have 32,000 mi on the originals. I want to increase the tire size but am worried about rubbing issues. I've read A LOT of posts about what size to get and pros & cons to the different tires.

I've settled on the Cooper AT3's, but read some say the 265 70 r17 don't rub and some say they do in a hard turn. I'm not interested in removing the front mud guards and with 2 kids under 4 years old, I can't allocate the $ for a lift.

Before I spend the $ for new tires, can anyone running the 265 70 r17's Cooper AT3's confirm that they do or do not rub? If you have a pic that you could send that would be great too!

    Thanks

Isn't that the stock size tire for a sport? I don't think they will rub.

Pretty sure 265 65 R17 is stock tire size for sports.

I had the Cooper ATP 265/70R16 which are about an inch shorter in overall diameter of the tire, and I rubbed on the mud flaps, and that was it. Hopefully that helps a little

With stock rims your fine, its aftermarket wheels that cause rubbing issues.

Your alignment also plays into whether you rub or not.

I still have some tread left on the factory set, but I've put almost 21,000 miles on the truck since i got it (March '16). New tires are definitely coming up in the not so distant future. I'll be using the stock rims so it sounds like I'll be good then. I appreciate everyone's help!

I do 99% of my driving on the highway. I'll go camping in the middle of no where once or twice a year. Would the "P" rated AT3's be the best for me?
