That's a great deal! Mine will come to about $650 after rebate including mount from Discount Tire. Stoked to get them on later today and get some miles in over the holiday!

    265/70/16 4S

All mounted up! As tends to be the case, they look much tougher in person than pictures can convey but they look great against the stock OR rims IMO with the sidewall design being very similar in shape to the wheel design.

I live 2 miles from my Discount Tire store, and haven't had time to put them through any paces just yet but what I can say in the short drive (through a thunderstorm) is that they have EXCELLENT grip in the rain. I was driving through puddles at one point and intentionally tried to spin them (didn't turn traction off or anything, but under the same conditions I could always spin the stockers in rain). I took turns in my neighborhood at speed on the wet pavement and never lost grip at all.

I'll need to tinker with the pressure a bit b/c they set it pretty high (36 cold) but I'll do a chalk test like I always do soon and get it dialed in. Likely will land around 31-32 cold.

Those are the 4s? Dang, they look better than I would have expected. And you say they look better in person. That's awesome. Congrats!

Yes! I was second guessing my decision to go 4S vs. LT primarily for aesthetics but all that doubt faded once I saw them mounted up. Glad I resisted the urge to upgrade to a heavier or larger tire b/c these look great. Will be spending time in the mountains with a couple hundred highway miles in between the dirt and nat'l forest fire roads over the next week so I'll get a detailed review up next week once I have had a chance to properly break them in

Another thing that's not explicit on Cooper's site - these tires (4S) do carry both the M+S as well as 3-peak mountain snowflake rating on the sidewall

Those photos have me tempted to go 4S in 265/75/16. Look good and specs show they are still equal or better to Falken AT3W. Was thinking the LT’s originally but the 4S is looking good.

I picked the AT3 4S b/c it's plenty aggressive for my needs, is a good winter tire, the silica tread is very grippy, and I could get it in a lighter tire. I'd love something taller, lift, etc., but I see all the challenges folks have with power loss, etc., so I wanted a balance of more capable, aggressive tires, maintaining stock geometry, in a low weight long lasting tire. At merely 41 lbs these fit the bill and I didn't sacrifice a bit of my pavement handling and, lets be honest, unless its purely a toy most of us spend a ton of time on pavement.

50 miles in - City/street handling is superb, couldn't spin them in rain yesterday, precise lane changes on the highway, minimal body roll. I thought the one thing the stock wranglers were good for was cornering but these are just as good if not better despite the deeper tread. Also very smooth. At 32 PSI cold they are the right firmness, but also soft enough I'm not feeling all the bumps in the road I did previously and steering as a result is much smoother.

Also are whisper quiet on the highway which I didn't actually expect. They did well with the original AT3 as I understand and have only continued to improve. If these tires hold up to dirt/gravel/rock/snow as well as they claim they do this could be a perfect year-round tire for a lot of folks!

Also, quick shout out to @Discount Tire Direct - while I didn't order them through the website, in this day and age it's a sad rarity to get really good service but my local shop clearly is run by superb management. such a busy place every single time I've been there but every person on staff has that hustle about them, but when a customer is on the phone or in front of them you'd think you were the only customer in the building. They guaranteed 45 mins or less install with an appt and had me out the door with new tires perfectly mounted and balanced in 40 mins.

Looking forward to getting them off the pavement this weekend!

So I'm at the local Mr. Tire store having a set of Cooper ATs installed and the guy comes in and tells me that I'm having balance issues because I keep buying bottom of the line tires (they're replacing my General Grabbers) and if I want a good tire I need to buy BFG or Michelin. I tried not to laugh, but seriously, I thought it was a far cry to call these crappy tires.

I've heard nothing but good things about Michelin, but they're expensive and they don't look very good. I've heard about lots of problems with BFGs balancing. There's an entire thread dedicated to people having trouble with them.

Hilarious. Coopers are not EXPENSIVE tires, but that doesn't make them crappy tires!? I'd probably go to a different tire shop... Since when did BFGs become "easy" to balance? Plus Cooper has the economies of a very large scale global operation that extends beyond tires which helps w/ their pricing a bit.

Price was only a vague factor in my buying decision. I could afford KO2s but I wanted these as they are a quality tire. Plenty of reviews on the original AT3s indicating the same... from reputable 3rd party sources.

The guys here have been griping since I showed up because the install might take take more time due to the size and balancing I requested. Not a great experience so far :(

I went with the originals, 285/75/16, only because I regretted buying a model of the Grabbers that had just come out. Didn't want to be the guinea pig =D

No kept having a lot of road noise and vibration. I didn't expect a silent ride but I was definitely not looking forward to another 50k miles with them. Discount hooked me up and warrantied them so I could get the Coopers.

I thought so too! Maybe I got a fluke set. I loved my AT2s but these were a lot louder and felt pretty crappy at highway speed
