I'd go with the 265s. I am pretty sure it's the more common size as well. I'd be surprised if they didn't have them. It'll be slightly wider than the 255s.

Sorry, you had a problem with the Instant price match not working. I just tried it and it was working fine. When you are ready just send us a PM with a link to the lower price and we'll beat it. Thank you for your support.

Here is a link to the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S online:

I hear you on the BFGs, I've never felt like they were as great as everyone else thought. My buddy had them on his Tacoma for a while and the Cooper S/Ts I had at the time did so much better than those bfgs in the snow.
To answer your question though, so far no real noticeable difference I guess but the 4S haven't seen any snow or off-roading yet. I'm waiting for some snow to really find out how they stack up. I was more than pleased and actually quite impressed with the ATWs, but thought I'd try the 4S because of the longer treadwear and for me it was a lower price, seemed a no brainer.

I don't own a Tacoma, but I joined the forum basically because of this thread. I don't know why more people on the internet aren't talking about these tires. Anyway, I just ordered a set of 235/65/17 A/T3 4s tires for my Lexus. They are coming from tiresshipped2you.com (no affiliation, never heard of them before) and cost $504 for 4 tires shipped (tirerack wanted over $600). I ordered on the 26th and they are due tomorrow, the 30th. I will let you guys know when they show up and post some photos. One thing that is odd is the 235/65/17 seems to be the only tire without white lettering on the sidewall. Not sure why this is.

I just put these on my Rav4 (1st gen) and love them. I bought a spare last weekend and its the updated version compared to my 4 that I bought 6 or so months ago. The new AT3's look great.

so I just ordered my 265-75/16 AT3's and they were not the 4S just standard but it looks as though they are all very familiar, any difference between them that I am not seeing?

The 4S, LT, and XLT are all new variations of the AT3. Similar tread, but a different sidewall

The first two photos are the "older AT3" I put them on about 6 months ago. The last picture of the spare tire is the "new AT3 4S". These are 215/70/16's on my Ravioli4. I do ALOT of highway driving and they are great tires.

Much appreciated! Are you getting the newer 4S's? Hope they work out just as well for you! I'm doing rotations on mine about every 5-6k miles.

I am going with the 4s, yes. I wanted something good for snow, but also something good for light off pavement ventures, and being able to use them year round is a plus. I hope they perform well in the snow!
