Just came across this thread, and reminded myself to finally put mine on fs thread.

What's true is true, those AT3s are very good tires!

anyone mount up a set of the new AT3 LT's? these: http://us.coopertire.com/tires/discoverer-at3-lt.aspx
    [IMG]

    i'm actually interested in the new AT3 XLT's: http://us.coopertire.com/tires/discoverer-at3-xlt.aspx
but they don't come in a non-lift size for me. oh well.

i've got a new set of STMaxx pulling so badly i'm replacing them. Cooper will do it with another Cooper tire, but i'm now shy of the STMaxx from this problem (it's been a big ass problem over here). so i'm considering those AT3 LT's in Load Range E, 265/65-17 or maybe 265/70 although i generally don't like that size. just wondering if anyone's run them yet. or have pics?

i'm looking at the AT3 LT's as i mentioned above.

i had a set of STMaxx 265/65-17 on for 30k+ miles. favorite tires EVER! loved 'em. drove straight.

then i got this hardware problem and the truck pulls to the right. fixed the problem, or so we thought, and replaced with a new set of STMaxx, same size, same everything. pulling to the right like mad. Discount Tire Mgr is ordering another set for me from Cooper to try. if they pull then i'll try the AT3 LT's. at least Discount Tire is having my back on this so far.

Installing mine on my Lexus as we speak. Going to have to pick up a spacer for the rear as the offset of the new wheels is a little too much. Other than that very happy with the look. I was concerned they would look too much like an all season given the small size.

Four wheels balanced 3 oz or less. One rim and tire took 8+ oz. tech said it the rim that it balenced good just lot of wait. This is road force balancing also. Not sure if its the rim or the tire.

One of my LTs took a lot of weight, they ride perfect though.

How much weight exactly? Cause 8oz is pretty nuts for a non MT type tyre unless its the wheel. either way since both have zero miles would like to change out the culprit, be it wheel or tire.

I finally replaced my stock Firestone Destination's yesterday with the Cooper Discoverer AT/3 4S. Went from 245/75/16 to 265/75/16. I got the 116T. Initial thoughts after an hour of driving... it feels a little light on it's feet.. almost a bit squirrely... This is on freeway at 65-75 mph. Anyone else experience this? I'm going to check the pressure this afternoon. It's not to the extreme that it feels unsafe, just doesn't feel like the tires are as "connected" to the pavement. Maybe they just need to wear in a little. Also, I do note a slight increase in road noise from these tires compared to the stockers.
Again, not extreme but I do notice it.

i haven't gotten my AT3's yet, but other Cooper tires I've bought are heavy on the manufacturing compound, and it creates the feel you describe for the first 100-200 miles. see how they do over the next week... i bet they improve a lot.
