They were not just decals, I believe they're called resin stickers. They are flexible clear resin over the graphic. I used 60mm diameter and they fit in the recessed area perfectly.

Lookin good. I'm normally not a big fan of the white lettering but it definitely works VERY well with the super white Taco!

Only have 400 miles on them so far but im loving my 285/75r16 XLTs in E load. They ride very smooth at 35psi and road noise is almost nonexistent. They grip amazingly on gravel roads, dirt trails, and mud. Wasnt able to break them loose on either with traction control on going pretty fast. I haven’t tested them in rain yet but it’s supposed to rain all day tomorrow, will update then. So far I’m loving the tires, they are extremely beefy and look amazing imo for an AT.

Edit: I’ve barely noticed any power loss coming from a 30lb highway tire on both city roads and on the highway.

those are so nice. they don't come in a small enough size for me until i start chopping so I'm sticking with the LT's for now.

    couple more pics..

either i go 265/65-17 E for drive fun & performance, or i go 285/70-17 E and add a lift. 65 aspect in a E tire makes a very firm tire carcass and lateral flex is minimal. that adds a lot of steering response and quickness to weight shift. my exhaust is nearly wide open and I'm running OV's full Otto tune on a MT, and this thing is nuts fun with the whole setup. even running 265/70-17 brings a larger sidewall, more lateral flex, and effectively gears you down a tick which also reduces performance some. the thing is, I'm a driving & handling nutcase and will do anything to get my fun from that, and i feel the difference with these small changes.

i do like the 285 AT3 XLT's, and those will be on the radar if i get another car for hooning.

Nice truck! glad to hear you like the smaller load range e's. I am thinking about sticking with the stock size 265/70r16 at3 lt's for the same reason. My previous vehicle was a 2006 4runner that was lifted with 285's and no front sway bar, so this truck feels like a sports car to me. Id love to lift this truck and put big tires on it, but i am trying to be realistic with how i will use the truck. Stock height is plenty capable for my off road needs, the only thing id like to improve is the soft stock tires.

    right on.

so, this is a chapter in this truck's life. so i'm making the most of it. i'm mainly on-road so i'm not losing any OR capability. since i've got the tune, the exhaust, and a bit of the chassis setup i'm maximizing performance and the tire choice and size are part of it. this thing drives like a tough as nuts sports car without the neurotic bit from being a low sitting diva.

maybe next chapter i'll lift and go 285's, but for now the AT3 LT E's are amazing. just got the alignment dialed in yesterday with 5deg caster, tires are breaking in today, and i'm getting the pressures right. this morning it's all coming together and the drive is better than ever, absolutely tons o fun. btw with this tire size i'm running 30psi front and 28psi rear for the right compliance. those pressures were right on the STMaxx from the chalk test and these are the same tire carcass. i'll probably run the chalk test this weekend just to compare but i think i'm right in the zone.

mine are just breaking in. they have about. 300mi so far. the one thing i loved about my last set of STMaxx's was the carcass firmness because i run E tires. the AT3 LT E ranges have the same carcass as the STMaxx, and a friendlier tread since I'm 90% highway... and my wife can drive these unlike the STMaxx with this tread. so yeah, I'm super happy over here. and I'll expect over 50k from them where the Maxx's lasted just 35k. they check all the boxes including drive feel and handling which are top priorities for me. and so they should at $1100 for the set or whatever they were.
