I really like them! Do you have additional pics of your truck with these mounted? If so, here is a photo thread for 295 tires you can contribute to if you’d like:

Man they look so good. Wonder how these 295 would work on my first gen. Was considering 285 but man that 295 is Beefy!

Those XLT look good. I may have to check into them next set.

I ran 295s on my 1st gen for years. Takes a lot of cutting and BFH work to get them to clear properly.

Honestly 285/75R17 is a much better size. They're taller, but clear about the same due to being a little narrower.

I am running Adventurer AT/3s. They are the same tread pattern basically and everything, but they just have a different name. Why Cooper did that is beyond me?

They were just like $600 shipped. I got mine for like $1,200 or so a few years ago :(

XLTs are awesome. It stopped snowing once I got em on, but they’re boss in heavy rain. Silent, better economy than Duratracs, and much softer than other E rated tires I’ve experienced.

They were a good deal through that TRD sale. $650 shipped IIRC

Copy that, bought 16 inch wheels though so I’ll most likely go 285/75/r16. The real question is still these or STT pros... ugh

I went back and forth with the same debate. I had to convince myself I didn’t need a MT. I ran some STT pros on a first gen I used to have. They weren’t very loud and rode decent but were a little on the stuff side due to the 3 ply side wall. These XLT’’s have a 2 ply side wall. That is supposed to make them ride a little smoother but it does sacrifice some off road strength.

If your doin it big with the off roading like some serious off roading I’d go with pros, some of the best out there but if just some regular ole off roading is stick with the AT3, save money and last longer

Not worried about saving money. The price difference is $100. Big whoop. Longevity ? Don’t care either. I drive 5k miles a yr. obv I’m leaning towards STT pros for said reasons, but the practical side of my brain is trying to convince me why or how the at3 XLTs could be the better option? Especially when the STT pro is the sweetest tire out there... this at3 just pokes at me. Makes me wonder...will I regret not buying the STT ? Is the xlt really that much better in the rain and that much quieter?

Yes. Mud tires are never going to be as good in the elements as a regular all terrain tire, and they're going to be WAY louder than all terrain tires as well. They're good for one thing - mud.

Lol your money man, if it don’t matter and you want it, do it! It’s def the best of the best in my opinion so if money isn’t a problem, stick with pros

If you’re concerned about trade offs, you could go with the Maxxx instead. Fits in between those two options.

Terrible reason to buy tires but the Maxx just doesn’t do it for me. Looks like it belongs on a f250 New England plow truck. And I disagree...”mud tires” in 2019 are not just for mud anymore. These companies are engineering tires to be way more versatile. Even the “mud” tires now are way more civilized than they used to be.

They may be more versatile than years prior, but it’s not a debate that standard all terrains offer better performance over mud tires.
