It is the same tread pattern, but has less aggressive shoulder lugs

Around 10k miles on my 295/75 XLT’s and I’ve been nothing but impressed. They handle wet roads with ease, and I deal with a lot of those living in Oregon. For the off-roading I do they have yet to let me down.

I commute 20 miles to work, one way, in mixed city/highway driving. I feel these tires balance daily driving needs & off-road capability very well.

For what it's worth...I just completed a 1000 mile round trip on these. Quiet and smooth on the road.
Handled torrential rain on the freeway great. No hydroplane. Dozen others weren't so lucky and found guard rails.
    Very happy with them overall.

major dislike about the xlt is driving on gravel roads. This tire tend to trap those pebbles and can't kick them all out.

I concur. This is the one negative I’ve noticed about the XLT.

Finally joined the club. Only drove them home from the tire shop but they felt soft to me even though they were inflated to 40 psi smh

I should be good for towing right? Stock tires according to my manual have a 110 load rating. I only got the 4S which are 112. Towing a small teardrop trailer which will be about 2000 lbs wet and the tongue weight will be around 200. What psi should I run on these?

Psi varies for each truck. Do a chalk test to know for sure. But you'll want to be near the max psi when your loaded down with the trailer and less when not towing.

Yes. 265/70/16? Somewhere close to 40psi front and rear and you should be good. Cooper site says 42psi max

265/65/17 max psi on tires says it's 44 psi I'll probably run around 40-42 once I'm loaded up. Should I already be at that psi before being loaded and picking up the trailer? Getting a rental on our way to camping in a few weeks.

Yeah, air up first, don't overthink it. You'll be fine.

What PSi do you guys air down your 4S and SL AT3's to for a fire road? I feel like I dont want to air down too much, but was curious how much if at all I should to help reduce the load in the shocks.

Do your AT3 XLTs pick up and retain lots of rocks? Mine do and they don't fling off very well. The KO2s I have on my Tacoma grab rocks and fling them off pretty well.

@yeos My 4S's certainly like collecting small rocks, for sure.

Anyone running 255/75/17s on their 4s? Would 255s handle the rain/snow better than 265s?

Ive narrowed down my next tire choice from ko2s to coopers. Mostly high way driving and gravel roads for fishing and I didn’t need a super aggressive AT tire.

I would go 265/75r17 if I was you. Mileage isn’t going to be much different and you won’t notice much if anything in the snow/ice. Will be way better for off-road use.
