Just saw your post. I'm going to get the AT3 4S when my stimulus check arrives. Thought about Falken Wildpeaks but my truck is a asphalt queen.

I'm going on 7000miles on my AT3 4S and I couldn't be happier with them. They've been superbly quiet but they're still new, mind you.

They've handled the handful of off road excursions I've gotten to go on well aside from mud, but they're not a mud terrain tire so no surprise there.

The mud experience was on a fairly well maintained road that had been soaked with rain. It had a lot of clay so it got pretty slippery and the truck started to slide despite going in a straight line. Despite that I didn't have any real issues with traction even though I was chasing @OnePuttBlunder while we were channeling our inner Carlos Sainz (Sr.)

I don't have any good pictures of them on the truck, but I went with the AT3 4S in 265-75-16, awesome tires. Quiet on the road, great handling in wet and dry. Didn't really have much snow to test them in this year. Look great also. I didn't want a real aggressive sidewall as I don't do any off road things.

Has anyone tried both the 4S and LTs in snow? I like that the 4S has the 3pmsf rating, but I plan to do some wheeling on the weekends so I liked the flexibility of the C rating on the LTs.

    Where do you live?

Snow is subjective, mud terrains can do well in snow.

Ice is the issue and the softer SL at3 4s is the answer if you need a true year round tire.

If you really want to wheel and deflate I would suggest the LT tires for sure.

I’m in Utah. So a decent amount of snow and ice, but I also have the luxury of staying home if it’s too bad.

LTs or 4Ss if you towing? I tow a travel trailer (3800 loaded) around 1-2 times a month trying to feel if I should make jump to E rated.

I didn't think a tire's load rating affected its towing capability, but it does affect how it handles what you are driving on.

4S’s at least in 265/75r16 are rated for 2700 pounds, more than enough to cover the load in a Tacoma.

That’s what I keep telling everybody but then they get advice from Kbro lovers and duracrap fans. Coopers in my mind are way better than those.

Similar question, I have two of those original at3's that I want to put on a jeep (got a smoking deal on the two), I need to find another 2 of them and can't seem to find the old ones anywhere...I have the 4S's on my taco and love them but am having a heck of a time finding the old ones
