I thought there was a new version released around then? I had a set on my Grand Vitara installed 2020 (mfg 2019) and they are perfect.

I’ve only had them on a couple hundred miles so I haven’t noticed a decrease yet. It does seem to hunt a bit with shifting though.

I got mine right around the time they started getting popular with 4019 date codes. I took photos of all four tires when I swapped them out (in case of wheel damage) and you can see where the sidewall meets the tread on all four tires. Only one had the cracking, but the other three absolutely showed a discoloration / line in the same area. Would they have eventually cracked, I don't know, but seeing a difference in the rubber in that area on all four is troubling.

I know that I had a different size than most, and these were P, not LT, but I believe this would have been the tire used on a stock Tacoma with 18" wheels.

I truly hope I got the short end of the stick here and I'm the exception, not the rule.

This is the set I had previously. No apparent issues after 20-25k. They were on my Suzuki.it sucks that yours did.

These are my favorite all around tires.

I am fairly sure I’ve read every post in this thread and I haven’t seen this question asked to I apologize if I missed it…

Has anyone been able to fit a 285/75/16 AT3 XLT in the normal spare tire spot on a 3rd Gen?

Looking at the specs on the Cooper website, seems a little small for a 33” so I’m thinking it might fit?

I’m trying to decide if my next set of tires are going to be 285 XLTs or 255 skinny ST Maxx’s and I know the skinny won’t fit under there. Unfortunately the ability to carry a full size spare is a big factor in my decision.

I was able to on my 2nd gen! Required some slight bending of the bracket

Ok great, I would assume that’s probably similar to the 3rd Gen. Appreciate the info!

Fits in my ‘02 Tundra spare location as well. Had to do some minor tailpipe surgery though.

Oh yeah good point, I forgot about the tailpipe... I'm not sure if that will be an issue or not, mine is cut off before the axle

It fits. I deflated it a bit and pulled the tire back towards the tow hitch while bringing it up

I just came across this review of the XLT on YouTube and figured some people might find it helpful.

It’s the only review video I’ve watched where the person actually gives information about the design of the tire instead of just talking about how it rides, etc. I thought it was really informative.

Looking for some recent pics of either the Discoverer A/T3 4S or A/T3 LT on stock suspension. If you could post what one you have and the size, that would be great. I'm trying to see how they both look on stock suspension!

Just got these today, Cooper ATP ll , a new version of what I had on. They are 285/70/17, E rated. I like the tread pattern.

@Dakota guy Thank you for your business and support. That's a very nice wheel and tire package. Makes the truck look rugged.
